At ELAB ("ELAB", "our organization", "us", "our", "we") we place great importance on the protection of personal data ("Personal Data") refers to information that could identify you as an individual), in addition to complying with all laws, regulations, ordinances and guidelines related to the protection of personal information ("privacy laws") we will strive to protect personal information as outlined in the following privacy policy ("Policy").
This Policy explains how we will use any personal information which we collect about you when you use our website https://elab.jp (our “Site”) or correspond with us. By using our Site you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Policy.

2.1 We may collect the following information from you: first name(s) and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, date of birth, gender, organization name/affiliation, role/title, profession, IP address, location data and information regarding your use of our Site and EGAKU sessions you have signed up for and related data.
Identity Data may include your first name, last name, title, date of birth, organization name/ affiliation, role/title, profession and gender.
Contact Data may include your address, email address and telephone numbers.
Technical Data may include your login data, internet protocol addresses, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this site.
Profile Data may include your username and password, program registration data or orders, your interests, preferences, feedback.
Usage Data may include information about how you use our Site, products and services.
Marketing and Communications Data may include your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

5. Disclosure of Your Information
We will not sell or lease your personal information to third parties. We will not disclose Personal Data to third parties without you knowing about it. The exceptions are:
• Where we need assistance of third party data processors, acting under our instructions, who assist us in the performance of a contract we enter with you (e.g. payment processor, suppliers and sub-contractor);analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimization of our Site by analyzing how the Site is used and the path users take before making a purchase;
• if we are under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of and other agreements; or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of our customers, or others. 9.4 We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information provided by users.

10.6 If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please email us at info@elab.jp . You will not have to pay a fee to access your Personal Data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
10.7 We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your Personal Data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
10.8 We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
11. Retention period
We will retain certain Personal Data in respect of financial transactions for as long as the law requires us to for tax or accounting purposes. In respect of the holding of Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, we will retain this data for a limited period in line with recommendations of competent regulatory authorities.
